In review, Berta Rojas, March 26, Bloomington, IN

Wow, Ms Rojas certainly inspired and entertained the audience with her repertoire choices and performance last night.  The hall was almost full and we were treated to a heaping dose of South American music as well as an introduction to Byeoung Woo Lee’s music.

We couldn’t stop talking about her brilliant sound (guitar by Michael O’Leary)  and wonderful repertoire for the 1 hour + drive home to Indianapolis.   Ms Rojas’ Barrios interpretations are fresh and lively.  Her performance made me reconsider my CD purchase of Terruno (adding Intimate Barrios to my wish list).

Again, a wonderful evening of music and fun in B-Town.  Ms Rojas is gracious and a joy to see perform.

The concert was sponsored by Strings By Mail.  Great online store for all things classical guitar.  Check them out!

Berta Rojas will be performing this Saturday at 8 PM at IU.  See you there?  I am hoping for decent Indiana weather to enjoy a day of hiking and the outdoors before heading to campus for this great opportunity to see Ms Rojas.  Berta Rojas is a major international performer with several CD releases available.

Most helpful. Went to several websites looking for info on the concert at Auer Hall on Mar 26. You are the only one that told me that Auer Hall was in the Simon Music Center on campus. My husband and I are new to the area and would have been wandering around for a long time looking for a building called Auer Hall. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
